Fairbairn's Butchers
Reiver Country Farm Foods in Berwickshire are owned and run by local farmers who have already successfully launched their Oink hog roast shop in Edinburgh following success at the Edinburgh Farmers Market. When they launched their new butchers shop in Duns they undertook a wide ranging marketing campaign in the local area. The campaign included a direct mail campaign throughout the area which invited local people to a special tasting event at a little farmers market at the shop. They also promoted the event via a local press campaign which achieved coverage and the event itself attracted a huge number of local people on the day, the shop has continued to be busy ever since and they continue to market themselves via a local advertising campaign which promotes seasonal offers and products throughout the year.
